Alexa Traffic Rank of a site or blog is important for every webmaster. While Alexa traffic rank is determent or calculated by the number of visitors to your site who are using Alexa toolbar (ie; not all your site’s real traffic), still it is a major factor to rate a site’s
value (visitors).
The number of visitors to your site is important for you as a webmaster, but if you got the traffic you want, but not from people using Alexa Toolbar, you will still not get a good rank on Alexa.

- Buy banners and links for traffic from webmaster forums and websites
A prominent and well displayed ad will drive lots of webmaster traffic to your website, which can significantly boost your rank.
- Try Alexa auto-surfs
This may only be suitable for brand new sites. I think they are mostly suitable for new websites with a very poor Alexa rank. Also note not to have Google Adsnese when you are using them. They aren’t also long term solutions to improving your Alexa Rank so I suggest using with caution.

Great article and Alexa has been a pain in the behind for me.
I seem to get so close to the magic 100,000 mark and then up go the numbers again. It’s like traffic comes from one place for a while that does have a lot of Alexa toolbar users.
I never put it together that it might be the Asian traffic.
Right now your traffic rank is pretty close to mine, let’s get that down to a respectable value.
I think I will write an article asking where my Alexa rank went. I can add your post link in my article at the same time.
My Alexa was also going well for a while and getting close to 100000 every two days, but suddenly it froze at this rank for more than a week now??!! ….Even that my traffic is increasing every day…that’s weird, I think in the next change it should enter the 100000

While hi5 maintains its strong hold in Central America, it faces tough competition in Asia from many social networking sites. Hi5.com comes in first ten ranking in http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main?url=www.fortunehotels.in Alexa.com.
I have come to learn alexa rank has nothing to do with seo. Sure the more optimized you are the more traffic you get and the higher your alexa rank, but the rank itself doesn’t do much except say you know how to generate traffic. You can track the top 1 million with a few hundred hits a month.

There is some controversy over how representative Alexa’s user base is of typical Internet behavior. If http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main?url=www.fortunehotels.in Alexa’s user base is a fair statistical sample of the internet user population, Alexa’s ranking should be quite accurate.

Alexa is not looked upon too much with regards to how well your blog is rated however is does play a small part with advertising.

My goal also is to improve my Alexa Traffic, I’ve got 1,200 something rank in my Ichigo-box.org and since I get alot of visitors from other countries, I think it improves more my traffic. So far, I don’t think I need to buy banners and links for traffic from webmaster forums and websites….it would be better if I sell ads in my blogs, atleast I get money from it. Hihi.
