How About Building Your Blog’s Community?

As you optimize your blog for search engines, write informal articles, etc… to get ranked on google and other search engines (ie; get traffic to your blog) … Promoting your blog on blogs communities and building your blog’s community there is another useful part of your blog’s promotion.

Blog Communities Sites And How To Use Them

Sites like MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog offers you the opportunity to add your blog at their sites, and build a community for it. How is that:

Adding Your Blog - You add your blog’s link with the title and description about your blog, plus a bio about you (the author) in the right category for your blog. Through that bloggers sharing the same interest can find your blog.

Get Friends And Fans - Bloggers who are interested in your blog’s topic and what you write will start adding you as a friend and joining your blog’s community on these sites. This way they will come back to check your latest posts. You may also send them any announcement, contest (you are running), or top posts you think they would love to read!

Add Friends And Join Communities - The same way as other bloggers will find you, you may also check out the blogs and bloggers who posts about topics you love, add them as friends and join their communities. Most times they will also be interested to join your blog’s community too, as you both share the same interest.

Groups - You may start a group or join one of the many different groups on their sites. You will find groups about any topic such as; Bloggers and Blogging, Stumble, RSS, Technorati, etc…
