Well as I have won two previous seo contests (the only two I entered!), I was excited to hear about this new one, and the price is great! … But this time I am late in entering, and there are already many competitors on this contest … Plus, this time most of the competitors are from a Big SEO Forum! Mmmm… do I have a chance with them?!

The UKWW (UK Webmaster World) is running this great Seo Contest which has started on the 1st of February 2008. The UK Webmaster World Community has launch this International Seo Contest to which 300 registered members are allowed to take part in. The winner of the International Seo Contest 2008 would receive the top prize of $1000.00, further more the next 3 Seo contestants to take up the 2nd, 3rd & 4th spot would get a respectable $100.00 each.

What is the Seo Contest 2008?

The UK Webmaster World owners and management decided the task for this Seo Contest, that is a certain keyword which would be there targeted keyword search. This keyword “seocontest2008” is unique and no search results was available for that term. They then announced this keyword on the 1st of February 2008 at 00:00 to which all members taking part in the International UKWW Seo Contest 2008 would be able to begin there Seo campaign and fight for the first spot in Google.com for this keyword.

How to Enter the Seo Contest 2008

The International Seo Contest started on the 1st of February 2008, but don’t worry you can still join if you don’t mind starting later (as I did!) … just remember to act soo as there is only 300 spots … wondering how much is taken by now?!!

• - Now you are officially entered into the UKWW seo contest 2008 you can apply your best (legal) seo techniques to achieve the best SERPs for the targeted term.

Seo Contest 2008 Rules

• You may use a domain, folder, or sub domain as your optimized page with one criterion. The page must be brand new, no backlinks no cached version.

• Every optimization techniques are allowed except cloaking, and hiding text. We will periodically compare the optimized pages with their cached version in order to discover the cloackers, hence we kindly ask you to avoid using any kind of no archive meta tag.

• No multiple entries are allowed - ONE URL per forum member.

• Participants are allowed to change URL but with the same requirements - at the moment of registration new url can not have any cashed version or incoming links. Old URL will be removed from database and no longer allowed to be used.

Until Google.com is checked to find out the standings of the top search results for the term “seocontest2008″, You may check it here. The 1st result will be the winner of the Seo Contest 2008 ($1,000)… and the three ones after it will get the second price ($100).
