Starting Your Own Ezine

Every webmaster has an Ezine in his/her site, as it is an important strategy in marketing.

An Ezine is a box you put in your site where visitors subscribe to get your newsletter, where you should offer them with tips, articles and special offers that will help them, while at the same time remind them to visit your site.

That is a powerful method to bring people back to your site.

- If you want to start your own ezine you can choose to write it yourself, or you can publish from the free articles available on the net (but here you should keep the author’s resource box), or a combination of the two.

- The next step is to get the tool that makes it work - An Autoresponder.

This is a tool that helps you arrange your newsletter, and catch the subscriber’s e-mail, and automatically send your newsletter to them as you manage it. There are many autoresponders available. One of the Top Autoresponders is Get Response. It’s basic version is free and you can optionally upgrade to a paid version which has more features.

- Step three after setting up your autoresponder, all you need is some subscribers!

In order to get a big number of subscribers and build your opt-in-list, you should submit your website/ezine in ezine directories.There is two ways to do this:

• either for free: by search for ezine directories on Google and submit your website/ezine in these directories, one by one.

• or: save your self the time by submitting it direct to a big number of directories using softwares such as Ezine Announcer, which will do all this work automatically for you by one click!

This technique - Building an Opt-in Email List - works really well as when people subscribe to your ezine you get the opportunity to introduce your site to them, and if they already subscribed from your site, you simply will remind them of your site by the link they will come through in your newsletter.

There are some other free methods that can help you to build a list. I should (sure) talk about in the coming posts.
